The Infinite Worlds of YouTube Tutorials

In collaboration with Patricia Lambertus

hideHUNT is a collage made of four different YouTube tutorials that deal with gender-specific make-up techniques. The classic beauty tips for women are contrasted with the masculine camouflage technique of facepaint for hunting.

Terms such as "war paint" are playfully questioned and gender-specific clichés examined. Both protagonists paint themselves for the hunt. They have different target objects in their sights and different intentions with regard to their respective visibility.
